Raspberry, banana, blackberry and pineapple are some of the other flavours that you can make by substituting fresh fruits for the strawberries in this recipe. You will need a blender or food processor.
Ingredients:
12 oz (350 g) fresh strawberries
1 1/2 tablespoons caster sugar
1 pint (570 ml) chilled skimmed
or semi-skimmed milk
1/2 pint (285 ml) natural low-fat yoghurt
Method:
Chill 4 glasses. Reserve 4 strawberries for decoration and put the rest into a food processor or blender and sprinkle with the sugar. If possible, leave to stand for 20 minutes before pureeing the mixture. Pass the puree through a nylon sieve to remove seeds.
Return mixture to the food processor and add the milk and yoghurt. Blend on a high speed for 1 minute. Pour into the chilled glasses, decorate with the remaining strawberries and serve immediately.
